We visited Babylonstoren to have lunch at the Greenhouse followed by a wine tasting. The lunch at Greenhouse was amazing, such fresh and delicious food and the service is very friendly! The wine tasting was also good but less impressive compared to the outstanding lunch. The herb garden is beautiful to walk through afterwards.

Babylonstoren has got the whole experience. A beautiful fruit & vegetable garden, fresh and really good food, delicious wines and the wow effect if you are there. You really feel happy when you are walking through their garden and if you are eating at Babel or the Greenhouse (visited both) you taste the freshness from the garden.

The wines are very average, but the gardens are so amazing that you will want to go here anyways! It is so incredibly beautiful and serene, with all the fresh fruits and veggies around you, and lovely walkways. Highly recommend the visit, just after you go through the gardens take a drive to a nearby vineyard (such as Glen Carlou) to have lunch and some nice wines

Is this the most beautiful place on earth? Might very well be. Wines are great, garden and food make Babylonstoren the #1 must-visit winery in the Winelands.

What an amazing winery. I went here together with my parents and my girlfriend. A perfect place: beautiful (vegetable) gardens, great food and service and nice wines. If you want to go for the whole winery experience, Babylonstoren is the place.

Wauw! What a beautiful place. I actually fell in love with the beautiful garden. I could walk there for hours, so don't forget to take your time here to enjoy the scenery! We had lunch in the greenhouse, which was really fresh and delicious. It was a Saturday so quite busy, but we had a table in the shadow right away, so perfect!

We ate at the greenhouse. The way it looked and felt was beautiful. I just though there was not that much choice in the food, but what I did eat was delicious! Babylonstoren is such a beautiful place I would recommend everyone to go here! There were a lot of children, which can be annoying if you're not a big fan of other peoples children... Didn't have any wine so cannot review this!

cuisine

The garden at Babylonstoren looked to the past for inspiration, taking its cue from the Company’s Garden of Cape Town, which supplied passing ships to the Cape with food in the 1600s. All of the more than 300 varieties of plants in the garden are edible or have medicinal value, with everything from blood oranges to asparagus, mushrooms and persimmons supplying the farm’s two restaurants: Babel and the Greenhouse. As such the garden’s ever-changing tapestry and rich bounty of produce, informs every aspect of Babylonstoren.
