Easter experiences at South African wineries

Easter is a huge celebration here in South Africa and why not spend it at a winery. A lot of wineries are Easter proofing their wine estates. Therefore make sure you book a place on time to celebrate Easter in style. To give you a taste of what some wineries have to offer we have a read.

Spier
Wine estate Spier, situated in Stellenbosch, has a whole weekend planned to celebrate Easter. Some of the highlights include a Sunday Harvest lunch, which was created especially for Easter, in their top restaurant Eight, a treasure hunt round the historic farmyard at the Werf and after the hunt the children can visit the chocolate bar in the Jonkerhuis and buy and decorate their own chocolate egg.  After a hard days work of decorating eggs there will also be the opportunity to enjoy a lovely seafood braai in their restaurant. These are but a few of the experiences you can enjoy at Spier.
